Abstract
The input diode bridge introduces power losses and distortions in power factor correction (PFC) circuits. In this paper a new class of AC/DC converters without input rectification is introduced. Efficiency, performance and other characteristics are analyzed on the basis of a prototype circuit; key features are outlined and illustrated by experimental data
