Abstract :
Quality control is the final process in the product line; therefore, it is of the utmost importance. To evaluate the industrial print characteristics it is necessary to analyze the scanned micro-samples of the printing sheets. The accuracy of the micro-sample indicates the high quality of prints. In this paper, the authors propose a high quality image acquisition and an algorithm to automate the color prints inspection process, which employs multi-thresholding on HSI color space for color image processing and mathematical and statistical techniques for feature extraction.
