Abstract
An experiment of high power microwave generation from a reditron oscillator, in which the reflected electrons oscillation is suppressed by using a shaped magnetic field and a narrow slot high-density graphite anode, is presented in this paper. The theory for the optimal design of the reditron oscillator is given. The output power and frequency tuning features are also given.
