Abstract :
This paper described a new kind of gas switch which works at high DC and is triggered by a KrF laser. The trigger performance of this gas switch changed as a function of these limits: laser energy, working voltage (%Vsb, Vsb is the self-breakdown voltage of the switch), gas pressure, gas type, electric field intensity, etc. A summary of the experiments is presented and discussed.
