Abstract :
The rating inconsistency in subjective rating between two raters may result in the fact that the score the examinee got departs from his real ability. And artificial rerating process is both time consuming and laborious. So the author in this paper applied the Uadj Scheme and the Sadj Scheme to HSK (advanced) essay scores to examine rating errors and to compare these two schemes. The study shows that both of these two schemes can diminish raters´ errors and promote rating efficiency, which therefore can be substitutes for raters´ rerating and that compared with the Sadj Scheme, the Uadj Scheme is superior.
