Abstract :
With the development of biometric recognition technology, because of its unique characteristics, iris recognition have attracted more and more attention of researchers, which makes iris recognition system developed rapidly. In the whole process of iris recognition, the location of iris is considered as a crucial aspect. Since the location is the first step of iris image process, the accuracy and quality of location will directly affect the ultimate results of iris recognition. This paper will summarize the ideas of the existed iris location algorithms, and introduce some common methods as well as compare with their advantages and disadvantages.
