Abstract :
Automation is a set of technologies that results in operation of machines and systems without significant human intervention and achieves performance superior to manual operation. Also the security systems are not maintained as per the rules and regulations. The system is activated when image captured using a Web cam, compares it to a stored database using methods such as Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Weber law etc. This system has face recognition technology which grants access to only authorized people to enter that area. If others enter the place without access using some other means, then the system alerts the security personnel i.e. (Unauthorized) If authorized, user sends the SMS to controller at home. Upon receiving the SMS command, the FPGA controller unit then automatically controls the electrical home appliances by switching ON or OFF the device according to the user order.
