Abstract
Two novel intelligent paging schemes for dynamic satellites are illustrated. A new intelligent spotbeam selection process, based on user mobility is presented. The spotbeam selection process is applied to the paging schemes and results, in terms of average number of spotbeams required for paging and paging success rates, are presented. The results are shown for two differing types of dynamic satellite constellations. These are a Globalstar-like LEO system with 19 spotbeams and a ICO-like MEO system with 163 spotbeams
