Abstract :
This paper presents a formulation of a two-dimensional electromagnetic scattering from a circular cylinder located near a periodically corrugated surface. Since the structure under consideration is not periodic, the fields have continuous spectra in the wavenumber space. The present formulation introduces the pseudo-periodic Fourier transform to consider the discretization scheme in the wavenumber space and shows an approach to multilayer structures of periodic and aperiodic layers.
