Abstract :
A reference signal generating loop scheme that improves interference suppression performance in direct-sequence (DS) spread-spectrum systems is proposed. The method makes use of a scaler Wiener filtering technique in the Walsh-Hadamard transform domain. Since it is not based on time-averaging methods, as are methods using a low-pass or chip decision filter, the burst of errors due to the time-delayed reference signal is nearly nonexistent, and the chip error probability is significantly reduced. Simulation results verify that the proposed reference signal is not time-delayed and that an intermittent scattering of errors occurs instead of a burst of errors, even in a high noise environment
