Abstract
A quad 12-bit digital-to-analog-converter (DAC) system with independent data readback and software mode and span control has been fabricated on a mixed bipolar/4-μm CMOS process with thin-film and dual-layer metal. All of the DACs are capable of true four-quadrant multiplication with no external components. The voltage outputs can drive 2k and 500 pF to ±10 V
