Abstract :
A leaky wave waveguide antenna having on one side a linear printed array (frequency selective surface, (FSS)) is introduced. The radiation leakage is associated with the position of the array resonance and to a certain extent the element spacing. A comparative study between a dipole array and square loops is given. The array´s parameters as well as the dielectric substrate are shown to affect the performance of the antenna
