Abstract
A novel design approach for high frequency analogue micropower filters employing weakly inverted MOSFETs is presented. By vertically connecting integrators instead of the classical horizontal cascade, filter topologies can be realised with extremely low power, and high frequency performance. To support the concepts, a 60 nW, 100 kHz biquad low-pass filter is designed with 1.8 V supply voltage. Also, a 112 nW, 100 kHz fourth-order Chebyshev coupled-biquad low-pass filter is also designed with 2 V supply voltage. Simulation results using a 0.8 μm CMOS process confirm the design
