Abstract :
We analyze and compare the characteristics of wavelength re-used WDM-PON which adapts Manchester or IRZ coded downstream and NRZ coded upstream. The results show that Manchester code is desirable in the asymmetric down/upstream bit rates, whereas IRZ code with low duty ratio is desirable in the symmetric down/upstream bit rate
