Abstract
We present a detailed analysis of the performance of queueing schemes in the Batcher-banyan networks with multiple outlets. Each queueing scheme is analyzed under different traffic distributions. In the Batcher-banyan networks with higher switching speedup, the performance of buffering techniques affect the switching system performance and are also related to input and output traffic distributions. Therefore, we investigate queueing schemes for several Batcher-banyan networks using our proposed analysis model. Numerical results indicate that the queueing performance such as switching throughput, latency, and packet loss rate for several Batcher-banyan networks are closely affected by input traffic distribution
