Abstract
In this study, the effects of different two-element antenna system configurations on the mutual coupling and correlation are investigated for MIMO applications. Two suspended UWB plate antennas operating at 3.0-6.0 GHz are designed and installed on a finite-size system ground plane. The simulation is validated by measurement. From the S-parameters, the envelope correlation between the two antennas is analyzed such that an optimized configuration is suggested.
