Abstract
In this paper the design, simulation and experimental exploration of a size reduced Log Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) antenna is presented. A better optimization has been achieved in a wide frequency range by a suitable alteration of different antenna parameters including Boom length, number of elements, characteristic angles (α, Φ) and deserting Impedance considerations. Different size reduced antenna designs are compared without varying other specifications. This paper noticeably illustrates our efforts regarding size reduction of LPDA.
