Abstract
In this paper, image processing technologies are utilised in order to aid tracking of multiple objects. The techniques in the paper are demonstrated for an aircraft tracking application, although they can be used in other moving object tracking applications. The aim of this paper is to present an object centred optimisation method, for a sensor, which provides the tracker with optimised object data in order to achieve the best possible tracking performance in complex scenarios. The advanced object centred optimisation method overcomes the difficulties of traditional systems, which tend to be scene based, and provides the tracker with the best possible view of each cued object by separately processing the data for each object
