Abstract :
High accuracy of laser-beam positioning is crucial for reliable operation of free space intersatellite laser communication systems and has the potential for reducing the power requirements of the laser source. Model-reference approach is suggested for further improving the performance of optical mirrors. The trade-off between the laser power and position errors of the beam-steering system is discussed
