  • Abstract
    This article proposes and implements a system called Firewall Integrated Distributed Billing System (FIDBS). On the one hand, it integrates two controls of the billing retransmission and the firewall safety into one retransmission control, and distributes the tasks of retransmission control and flow gathering to every modules called Billing-Firewall Gateway(B&F Gateway). By this means, the throughput capacity and extensibility of the system is enhanced, the bottleneck limit is breached too. On the other hand, it adopts a centralized monitoring management to control and administrate the operation situations of those B&F Gateways. This not only eliminates the inconvenience due to distributed retransmission control and flow accounting but also enhances the system manageability enormously.
