Abstract
This paper presents controller identification as a generalization of robust control oriented system identification. It identifies feedback controllers (rather than plant models) from a given class by performing the controller invalidation test on each one. Assumptions about the plant and other a priori knowledge can be used to construct the “model set´ from which the controllers are identified. The result is a non-conservative approach to learning.
