  • Abstract
    A solution to collecting high concentration and high resistivity dust by changing the electrodes configuration of an electrostatic precipitator from longitudinal plate collection electrodes to V-X style transverse louver electrodes is dealt with in this paper. Experimental results showed that current carried by charges particles, negatively charged ions and electrons can be separately collected at the edge and though of collection electrode, the collection efficiency can be increased and the size of the precipitator can be reduced. The electrostatic precipitators with transverse V-X style collection electrodes have been successfully used in the dust precipitation of fluidized-bed boilers
