Abstract :
The Luo Fang Lin - Ye Hong energy-storage tron (in Chinese), that can be simplified to call Luo- Ye Tron (in Chinese), is a new energy storage device. It has effective capacity to store energy and transfer power greater than that of batteries. Its capability to receive in the same order of magnitude likely rechargeable batteries. This characteristics, together with its long life cycle (>500.000) and its lack of maintenance work, make it a suitable choice to replace batteries in pulsed or discontinued power consumption systems. This paper tries to evaluate the possibility to replace batteries with ultracapacitors in many remote supervision systems using solar and photovoltaic panels as main power source.
