Abstract
In recent years, the study of learner autonomy has received increasing attention from teachers in China. This study sets out to explore the degree of non-English majors´ learner autonomy influencing learner autonomy in self-access language learning environment. The researcher tries to find out possible strategies to improve learner autonomy in the current Chinese context and offer references for those universities and colleges. Results from the study show that the overall degree of non-English majors´ learner autonomy stays at an intermediate level. It is suggested that teachers should give some learning strategies training according to China´s English teaching and learning context.
