  • Abstract
The Matrix Pencil (MP) technique is applied to extract the complex exponentials from the truncated FDTD response. To obtain the remaining part of the response without further numerical computations, the truncated response is efficiently extended into the future by summing the complex exponentials. Two examples are calculated to illustrate the efficiency of the Matrix Pencil method
