Abstract :
We consider nonuniform sampling intervals distribution, from the discrete to the continuous case. We propose several fast, improved synthesis methods and we choose the best suitable method for each particular case. The principles of these methods are described. Performances and limits of the algorithms are analysed and illustrated by means of numerical examples. The numerical difficulties caused by very small sampling intervals (as may be encountered in Poisson sampling processes) are addressed
