  • Abstract
    This paper presents a detecting system on power transformer winding deformation which can enhance the diagnostic accuracy to a large degree. The Impulse Frequency Response Analysis (IFRA) method is developed for generating frequency response analysis trace (FRA trace) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm is used for predicting the transformer winding deformation. Based on IFRA and SVM, the basic principle of detecting system is presented, the hardware is designed and the software is programmed. Finally, an experimental analysis for detecting transformer winding deformation is carried out to test the practicality of this detecting system.
