  • Abstract
Modulation transfer function (MTF) is one of the key indicators characterizing the signal transfer characteristics of an imaging system as a function of spatial frequency in terms of linear response theory. MTF measurement method based on special object image analyzing is used. In order to test the MTF more accurately, we improved the method in two parts by MATLAB simulating, which includes slant edge and adaptive average rows. through the MATLAB simulation experiment, the obtained values and the theoretical value of IMATEST simulation are compared in the lower spatial frequencies that the error control in less than 5%; Simulation results of two improved parts were presented, showing remarkable effects.
