  • Abstract
Numerous studies have examined the accuracy of computational electromagnetics (CEM) techniques for estimating the radar cross section (RCS) of targets, and the associated trade-offs between fidelity and computational load. Surprisingly, there appears to be no corresponding literature for the estimation of the polarisation scattering matrix, usually formulated in the backscatter alignment convention as the Sinclair matrix. In this paper we report an investigation of the fidelity of estimation of the Sinclair matrix for the case of two integral equation methods, namely, MOM and MLFMM.
