Abstract
With this work, we have shown that even high linearity and a low NF can be achieved with extremely low power consumption. The amplifier was optimized for a maximum input power level of -20 dBm. This requires a careful adjustment of the operation point of the transistor in combination with optimized input and output matching networks. With this design an OIP3 of more than 30 dBm could be achieved over a bandwidth of more than 300 MHz. Therefore, this amplifier could be used in signal environments where standard GPS LNAs don´t work reliably anymore.
