Abstract
A practical-scale hybrid wind turbine generating system is developed for generating a constant output power. The system consists of a wind turbine generator using a current-source thyristor inverter, a synchronous generator driven by a prime mover, and a duplex reactor. High quality of output voltage waveform is always obtained from the system of very simple configuration. Experimental results are shown to support the idea introduced here.
