Abstract

This study is supported by the agriculture geochemical survey project in Dakang town, Jiangyou city. By analyzing the heavy metals and organic pollutants contained in the surface soil, a assessment of soil quality is made in the study area by introducing single-index and comprehensive-index evaluation analysis, as well as by using GIS .The evaluation shows that nearly 1/3 areas of the land in the study area has been seriously polluted, especially exceeds in Cd and Ni ; On the other hand, soil quality decrease in the study area is mainly due to heavy metal contamination and organic pollutants has little impact.
