Abstract :
This paper proposes a testing procedure to estimate the characteristics of permanent magnet motors such as torque-speed. Based on the voltage, current and speed information, the motor characteristics can be calculated indirectly from the measured data with motor driven twice by two different input voltages. The advantage of the presented method is that the developed measurement system does not require any dynamometer or mechanical coupling.
