Abstract
This paper presents high frequency region position sensor-less vector control of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives. The proposed method enables to estimate pole position at high speed and reduce harmonic current. The proposed method estimates flux from a full order observer and estimates pole position with estimated flux. To improve the current waveforms inductances are added to the output side of the inverter. The value of the additional inductances is decided by motor parameters and simulation. Several experimental results show the effectiveness of the proposed system.
