Abstract
The "global roaming" features between wide varieties of networks operating at different frequencies call for the development of reconfigurable concurrent oscillator. The RCO design approach demonstrated in this work can offer low cost configurable signal source, which is amenable for integration in present integrated circuit (IC) technology. The measured phase noise is -130 dBc/Hz at 1 MHz offset from the respective carriers over the tuning range (1800- 2600MHz/3900-5400MHz), and the topology can be easily extended to higher order bands.
