  • Abstract
Summary form only given. Pervasive Computing is going through a rapid evolutionary change due to increased popularity of mobile (smart) applications coupled with social networking and human behavior. However, the convergence of pervasive and social computing poses significant challenges: how to develop new solution paradigms for pervasive computing systems and services taking into account emerging social behavior and interactions; conversely, how to exploit complex social and psychological experience to enable future pervasive/mobile applications. This timely panel reviews the current state of the art in this exciting inter-disciplinary topic and projects on the future of socio-pervasive world we seem to live in. The panel also addresses some of the unique research challenges and opportunities in this area.
