Abstract
A novel application of LAPS (Light-Addressable Potentiometric Sensor) for the determination of an important neurotransmitter, serotonin (5-HT), is presented in this paper. Several experiments were carried out in this paper to test the calibration curve and detect limit of this biosensor. Due to some advantages of LAPS, this biosensor system contains some special characteristics and advantages that were proved by the results of the experiments. The presented biosensor system could be a solid basis for the future development of neurotransmitter biochemical-image sensor
