Abstract :
The issue of the existing "gap" between users and developers of CAD/CAM systems was brought up at the panel discussion of last year\´s conference (17th DAC). The statements expressed were those of the users of CAD/CAM systems. This paper tries to bring the developer\´s viewpoint on this subject and suggestions for solving this problem, which is also the interest of the developers as well as the interest of the users of CAD/CAM systems.
