Abstract :
Dielectric Electroactive Polymer (DEAP) is an emerging material for energy harvesting, which can converter mechanical energy to electrical energy. A DEAP energy harvesting system architecture has been designed and simulated in our previous work. In this paper, we designed and implemented a prototyping circuit which includes a 4-order active low pass filter and a storage circuit. Experimental results show that, by using the proposed prototyping circuit, energy generated from DEAP generator can be harvested and stored properly into a battery.
