Abstract :
Although the study on 2-D local cosine bases (LCB) is referred to, it is a special case in which a sampling matrix is restricted. We impose the K-regular condition on the theory of the 2-D cosine modulated perfect reconstruction filter bank. On this condition, we propose an algorithm which achieve the 2-D local cosine bases with a number of arbitrary divisions (sampling matrix). We also propose to make it regular by imposing the multi-zeros (K-zeros) condition in the aliasing frequency on the lowpass filter of the cosine modulated 2-D perfect reconstruction filter bank
