Abstract
In this paper, compounds of polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) filled up with nanoscaled titanium dioxide were prepared. The influence of the filler on the mechanical, dielectric, and electromechanical properties was investigated. The overall electromechanical response kappaexp, as well as the Maxwell effect (kappaM) and true electrostriction (kappaE) were evaluated for the enhancement of electromechanical performance of dielectric elastomers.
