Abstract :
Vinylidene fluoride and trifluoroethylene copolymer, P(VDF-TrFE), is a ferroelectric polymer. The single crystalline film (SC film) of P(VDF/TrFE), was prepared by the method that solvent cast film was uniaxially stretched and annealed above the ferroelectric-to-paraelectric phase transition temperature with its surfaces free. The SC film is highly crystallized and highly double-oriented, also shows very large Young´s modulus and piezoelectric activity. We report the morphology of the SC film quite different from that of the conventional film composed of thick lamellae.
