Abstract :
Although the Japanese electronics companies engage in patent acquisition activity eagerly, it is said that the patent applications do not directly contribute to the increase of companypsilas value such as sales profit or volume. Our study shows how the Japanese electronics companies exploit their patents and what kind of influence is given to other activities such as patent applications. Especially our study confirmed the influence of cross-license and litigation experiments by means of the questionnaire survey to those in charge of patent applications at the intellectual property section of Japanese companies.
