  • Abstract
    A new numerical technique for reflection and absorption of a one-dimensional (1D) inhomogeneous anisotropic medium is presented. The waves propagating in the 1D anisotropic medium, as well as the incident plane wave with linearly polarized field, can be expressed as the sum of the right-circularly polarized (RCP) plane wave and the left-circular polarized (LCP) plane wave. After introducing the equivalent isotropic media for RCP and LCP plane waves, respectively, the scattering matrix method (SMM) for 1D nonuniform isotropic medium can be developed to deal with the anisotropic problem. Numerical results are shown and compared with the literature.
