Abstract :
Solar cells have strong nonlinear characteristics; they are easily affected by light and temperature conditions, and there is only a maximum power point in a specific light and temperature condition. In order to maximize the efficiency of power generation, this paper presents an idea of the conjunction of the maximum power point tracking based on quadratic interpolation and the sun automatic tracking, and introduces our own principles and methods. It also prints experimental data measured by means of physical and designs a controller to verify the validity of the proposed method. The experimental results show that the proposed control method can quickly and accurately search for the maximum power point of PV array, the working voltage is very stable. The method is effective to avoid the drawbacks of a single method in the improvement of solar energy utilization.
