Abstract :
Describes the development of a standard method for assessing the dose rate and total dose gamma radiation tolerance of solid-state sensor-based, CCTV cameras. The method permits the intercomparison of assessments carried out on different cameras by different people. It allows rapid processing and analysis of data collected during the assessment by means of computer-controlled data collection equipment. Results presentation has also been automated. This method has been used successfully to assess the radiation tolerance of ten cameras during 1990 with significant savings of time and cost
