  • Abstract
    dl-Gylcerol monoester of pivalic acid was synthesized by alcoholysis reaction of pivalyl chloride with acetone ketal of glycerine. The effect of molar ratio, reaction time, reaction temperature and catalyst dosage on the yield was investigated. The product structure was characterized by IR and 1HNMR. Results indicated that yield of dl-gylcerol monoester of pivalic acid reached 75.5% at 25°C and 6h under the condition of p-toluenesulfonic acid as catalyst.
