  • Abstract
Discusses how computers equipped with English-to-phoneme translation routines can be augmented with computer graphics to aid in teaching cued speech. Cued speech uses fourteen hand positions and shapes to represent the forty-one phonemes of the English language, in a manner similar to the alphabet.
