  • Abstract
Based on three dimensional, steady, incompressible N-S equation and k-ε turbulence model, finite volume method was adopted to carry out analysis of aerodynamic performance of double container car with three loading schemes. Results show that: with no wind, aerodynamic drag and lift force of the first scheme are bigger than the others which are nearly the same. With different wind directions, the lateral force and capsizal moment of all schemes are bigger and bigger with the yaw angle increasing. At the same time, the lift force of the second scheme and the third are also bigger and bigger with the yaw angle increasing, through the lift force of the first scheme first increases, then decreases with the yaw angle increasing. With different wind speed, the aerodynamic forces and capsizal moment of all schemes are bigger and bigger with the wind speed increasing. Aerodynamic performance of the second scheme is the best and the first is the worst under the environment wind. The second scheme is the perfect loading way in consideration of the stability of the train and the environment wind.
