  • Abstract
Study of residents´ consumption structure plays an important role in macroeconomic policy formulation. Based on per capita annual consumption expenditure of urban households, the fuzzy matter element model is used to evaluate urban resident consumption structure. Taking 31 provinces in China as an example, the evaluation result shows that the difference of resident consumption structure is remarkable, especially between eastern and western regions, and the result is fairly consistent in regard to habitual perceptual cognitions, so the model proves to be effective and feasible. On the basis of evaluation, this paper analyzes the reasons of regional difference of resident consumption structure and proposes corresponding countermeasures.
